Just the angle and lighting set-up
It is - but depending on the angle to the camera and how it's lit, the cut glass sometimes isn't so obvious.

SBGD001 is awesome jus' the price tag is hefty enough to keep me away ;-) Today I'll pick a SBGW031 from AD (an year ago i missed a SBGW033 in a bargain)...it looks great, no-date, just no blue seconds hand :-( the 1969 NOS you've has a wonderful dial... ...
