Chronos meets the dawn

Today I can only do a short walk around the garden, but I got the idea of looking for light. Sometimes it seems the darkness around us is smothering me, and I need a glimpse of light -- like a breathe of fresh air.

I chose as my Seiko companion today a Chronos manual wind pocket watch. This is 40 x 9 mm, a nice wristwatch size nowadays.

Sorry, it's only "gold tone" and not real gold, but it has lots of Jewels and DiaShock protection too.

I went outside by the light of the moon. I see we have some light clouds overhead; an indication of higher humidity.

Neighbors down the street left their Christmas lights on all night - every morning it's interesting to see who is burning up the kilowatts ...

Sun is starting to rise in the east. I look for man-made lights, and find a surprising number of them - glowing, flickering, pulsating.

My car is fully charged. Four green blinks.

My kettle is heating, but I decide to go over to my office instead of waiting for the stove, so I turn it off.

Another beautiful sunrise from my back porch.

Over at my office door, the electronic lock lights to help my choose the combination.

My one-cup hot pot fills my cup of tea

While my needlessly complex satellite clock array tells me the the day of the year, the time to 10 nanoseconds accuracy (or so they say) and the date as well.

My "recording studio slave clock display" shows there are some cobwebs on my office ceiling.

Sun is starting to come in the window, revealing that my desk is a mess as usual. Maybe if I spent more time cleaning and less time writing stuff ...

A few projects to tackle when I can "find the time"

Chronos=Time

I start to wonder why one has stopped, then remember that's GMT on the left and San Diego on the right GMT-8

And I see that my GO marine chronometer has not been changed to standard time "Fall Back 1 Hour"

It's a nice low-beat movement inside my Chronos, for those who were wondering. I was.

Daylight illuminating the jungle side of my canyon.

And lighting up the forest end of the yard

I have to go. Thanks for reading, and wear your Seikos!
