market Seikos which I saw at a Seiko boutique last weekend? I am particularly intrigued by the version with Compass but do not know how the crown at 4 is used to set this. Also, how good are the movements? ...

.. The top is SARG007, list price JPY45,000. +25 ~-15 sec per day. The bottom is SARG011, list price JPY48,000. The same movement. There are so many series and models! Hope this helps. Ken

Hi Th movement is 6r15 - if you google it there are lots of discussions and links about it. I've got a Sarx029 with the same movement & I'm very happy with the watch. Cheers JML

- In the model with compass; how does the magnet not affect the movement? - Does Seiko manage to keep prices down because of economies of scale? What if these were Swiss watches? Would their prices be a lot more?
