Killdeer
Rather sadly I've been distracted by your shots of birds.
The bird was a (pretty certain) a Killdeer, only ever seen one - in Norfolk about 20 years ago & yes it shouldn't really have been there!
From a book on shorebird (wader) ID.
If you think the discussion about watches here can focus on the minutiae, you've never heard birders discussing rare bird ID, primary projection and tertial fringing only the start of it! 🙄
