beautiful watch

but i always wonder about the size, especially the thickness -- how does it sit on the wrist?
i'm assuming that unless you have proportionally large wrists this watch will be very high for a formal type of work wear and most likely not fit under standard shirt cuff?

I was so excited when I ordered this watch and now that it has arrived just in the nick of time, I am absolutely ecstatic! I will definitely do a detailed report on it time permitting, it is an absolutely amazing watch, so many details and nuances, probab...

Twin blue, huge congrats...

nt

Very nice SBGC!

 By: KMII : December 30th, 2015-03:23
I agree that Seiko has a unique way of making Titanium cases - when they are through with them they look like SA but are feather light. The SBGC is also firmly on my radar, not sure it will be the 013, though (probably sold out by then). Enjoy it, as I am...

Certainly a great watch on a technical..

 By: Chrisparet : December 30th, 2015-04:05
aspect but I really find the pushers are too big which unbalance the harmony of the watch IMHO Enjoy it and wear it in good health ! Best Christian

Thank You Christian :-)

If the Pushers can work on this then they are certainly the same size on the sbgc013 and look amazing in real life Credit: Monochrome Googe Images ...

I have always felt the same way about the pusher size, but those on the Daytona are too small

 By: cazalea : December 30th, 2015-08:23
aesthetically they are fine, but functionally quite tiny, as I have found when trying to time things spontaneously. And having to unscrew them just accentuates the inconvenience. (and way too small to operate while holding a camera in one's teeth!) Cazale...

Agree completely

 By: KMII : December 30th, 2015-12:41
That screw down pushers defeat the purpose of spontaneously timing things. And the WR rating is not such that no other solution was possible. They look nice but... As for being difficult to operate with a camera held by ones teeth, that was the statement ...

You can get smaller pushers; see my post below

 By: cazalea : December 30th, 2015-15:41
CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE MASTER GRAND SEIKO SPREADSHEET These two watches have no GST hand, thus a cleaner dial, and have smaller pushers. Perhaps one of them will work for you. SBGB001 & 003 Cazalea ...

Was referring to the Daytona in your post...

 By: KMII : December 30th, 2015-20:48
But yes, these two would work very, very well for me Some day (2016?) one will be mine!

thank you my friend :-)

Three SBGCs - impressive!

 By: KMII : December 30th, 2015-05:06
I can see where the bias could creep in

Thanks!

 By: blackthought : December 30th, 2015-05:24
But alas I fear I may have a problem or sickness It\'s not like me to have three similar watches (nt)

So, how come you were infected here?

 By: KMII : December 30th, 2015-06:05
Any special reason? And is there a favorite amongst the three?

I do not know

 By: blackthought : December 30th, 2015-06:46
When the GS poison infected me but slowly I came undone after my first one or two, and the GS collection grew. My first was the sbga031, followed by the sbga001. Probably after I spent time reading numerous GS posts from Cazalea, KIH, SJX and Bernard Cheo...

Thanks for giving some more background :)

 By: KMII : December 30th, 2015-06:54
Can see how it can happen, got my first one (SBGX097) in September and the next one (SBGH035) soon after. Very fascinating watches

I've got a "legendary Daytona"let's do a comparison test

 By: cazalea : December 30th, 2015-07:01

 By: SALMANPK : December 30th, 2015-11:56
Source: WatchTime October 2001 Rolex is +-2 Seconds per Day VS. Source: +-10 Seconds per month, that would make it .33 seconds per day So Round 1 goes to the Grand Seiko SBGC013 S ...

Spring Drives don't come with a timing certificate

 By: cazalea : December 30th, 2015-08:27
I think Seiko decided it's a waste of paper as they are all darn near perfect, and it would take months of running to vary a second or two.

Hi S,

 By: blackthought : December 30th, 2015-22:03
Yes those are the docs that I got too. As Cazalea pointed out, the timing cert is for mechanicals only

And will fit under any shirt, refer to my wrist shot above

Depends on your shirts

 By: KMII : December 30th, 2015-10:44
If you don\'t have them custom made my experience has been the following (do not have an SBGC but tried in on at Vienna Time and it was almost the same as my LUC Chrono One): - with single cuffs it should work with most, some Italian shirt makers may cut ...

You can get a thinner GS Chrono

 By: cazalea : December 30th, 2015-15:39
If you notice these two watches, the SBGB001 & SBGB003 have small pushers and they are 14mm tall instead of 16mm tall for the rest of the GS Chronos. In addition, the dials look much cleaner. The difference is that these two OMIT the GMT hand and mark...
