Hello Everyone !
This is the first Rolex I have purchased in well over a year... I know bubblebacks are not on the top of alot of peoples list. I have always liked them and thought they are quite classic.
What I came across about 5 days ago and took me a total of 30 seconds to pull the trigger... This is a first generation Rolex Bombe from about 1948. Rolex made two ref 5018 for sweep seconds and a 5016 ( actually a 5018 crossed out case ref to 5016) for sub seconds. The case is about 34 mm in diameter and 14 mm thick !! I love the feeling of this watch on my wrist. You would think it 34 mm it would be lost on my wrist but the height at 14mm brings out that 3D is alive and well !! I am just sad that I do not have any wrist photos yet . I am just too excited by this example so I am posting it now with pics from the seller for your viewing pleasure.

Are there any other bubbleback admirers out there ?
Good Hunting
