The no date sub is lovely

To the extent that one does rely on their watch for diving (which we typically don't, TBH), then no date makes a lot of sense. It's also esthetically pleasing and it's nice not to have to worry about setting the date when rotating several watches.
How is the no date sub considered by Rolex aficionados, compared to the other steel subs?
