they would polish out the lugs!! Its seems Rolex holds its own standards in what seems appropriate regardless of what the client thinks. I will think thrice now before sending in any of mine unless completely broken…

I agree. I’m on the camp of not sending in watches for “regular maintenance “ but only when they stop working. This was the case of my SD; it stopped winding after 20 years!

Oh no! The service manager at my AD told me that if you tell them not to polish they won’t do it. And as a policy, they will polish the watch every other service!
