Hi everyone,
Sometimes I ask myself why Titanium RM are nearly at the same price than RG or YG ?
Usually Ti is compared to steel : but a little more expensive.
Ok I understand that RM is not like other brands etc etc. Ti is lighter as the philosophy of the brand.
I also understand than carbon NTPT for RM027 e.g. can be light AND expensive.
I know value is subjective BUT IMHO it is too much to compare Ti and Gold....
Mine is in RG but I try to understand the whys and wherefores...
Elitist price policy ? or Ti with particular know-how ?

One guess would be the fact that TI is very hard to work...
And with RM's type of construction, I guess the price is not so much reflected in the material as in the work to create the case and movement. Best Blomman

RG Beautiful but High Maintenance versus Ti
I have owned both a RG RM005 and a Ti RM005 and personally prefer the Ti because it is unbelievably light and the RG is heavy and so prone to scratching. Do not get me wrong, the RG is beautiful/stunning, but simply a lot more maintenance.
I agree. However, the look of rose gold is well worth the extra maintenance.
The amount of gold on the watch is not that much to warrant a huge increase in price. You are paying more for the brand name and the work involved in making such great timepieces. At this level, it is more about horology than precious metals.
