I'd say it's definitely worth it, perhaps in combination with Berchtesgaden and Salzburg!
We've got palm trees too, in Germany :)

It has been some years
since I have been there. Visiting the salt mine, the park with the graduation works and having some particularily tasty cake ar Reber‘s (Harkelintorte) A very nice place. Best, Martin
we moved here in early 2025...
... we're in the park with the baby every single day. Many people here are just on vacation or rehab. It's quite a thing to have this each day, a blessing.
