yesterday I had to attend a lecture in Bellinzona. It's the capital of the canton of Ticino in Switzerland and I think when tourists visit Ticino, the obvious urban locations would be Lugano and Locarno and not necessarily Bellinzona. My recommendation......

I’ve been there once many years ago. Indeed it’s not the obvious choice but it’s definitely a great city to visit. I recall the people were bit more relaxed and later back. Makes me curious what kind of lecture it was

that's kind of dynamic cloud statue that is emitting non-stop sort of humidity....guess mimicking fog or so...

I meant the rain clouds in the other picture. Was meant to be a joke because we only get rain 2-3 per year. The cloud on the last picture? I guess some form of art?

as I mentioned above, a stop for a meal at hotel Unione should be considered....good and pleasant....not a tourist trap...

What’s you favourite place in Switzerland ?

as a canton, I like Ticino a lot....the closer it get to something mediterranean in CH...

first biggest place (relatively...) once you cross the Gotthard....

When I worked for Swiss & German companies I quite often found myself in Switzerland. Such a beautiful country and so many out of the way spots to visit... never get tired of exploring off the track. Casey
