Patek Production numbers
Dear Fellow Purists,
Iam fairly a mature collector of Patek timepieces and have been an ardent follower of this watch maker. Hearing that Patek has opted to create its own in house seal made me sad in a way that they chose to be out of the norm and are now responsible for own quality milestones and criteria which they claim is much tighter then the Geneva Seal norms. bravo!
But this would lead to anther problem. Patek's production figures earlier could be cross checked and verified by the number of Geneva seals awarded and a guess work of add 20-30% of the quartz productions (mainly patek 24's). Now with the PP seal there is no way to verify and all you ahve to do is believe what they claim. As a collector one worries about watches been sold at discounts or been seen in all watch showroom windows. This is evident in patek whereby now you see all hard to get ones in show windows in HongKong, London, Singapore and even in Middle East. However same does not apply to Vacheron and Lange..
What do u all think??

Which counts is the watch, its intrinsec value, not how long it stays in the AD or Boutique window, or how many were produced. Would you go for an ugly watch just because it is rare or never seen at an AD's window? I am sure that as a fairly mature Patek ...
