How accurate are quoted times? I am looking at a World Timer in platinum but it definitely needs a polish and maybe a service given the age. Are Patek's quotes accurate or usually off?

made in recent years, estimated service time should be quite accurate.

How long is a piece of string?
I think it would be impossible for them to give you an accurate lead time. Definitely do not polish it if you value your watch, even PP can mess it up (personal experience).
6 months for my Golden Ellipse
I sent my Golden Ellipse in to Henri Stern Watch Agency (in New York) for a routine service back in February, and got back last month.
