If you cannot make it to the previews than I would highly recommend you have a friend or someone that you trust to preview the watch. I have had previewed many watches and have had a difference of opinion as to their grading on some, particularly on the vintage watches.

I believe John Reardon had some insight on this
issue regarding the buckle. If I remember it correctly, these were buckles made for the American market and the vendor did indeed misspell Philippe. The error was noticed and corrected but not before many were delivered.
