Plating
One way to tell if your watch is plated is by comparing the 'color' of the buckle to the watch case. As I understand it, Patek has never plated the buckle, so if you can see a difference between them, the case is plated. I also believe that Patek stopped plating all models in 2007, but it will have taken a while for the plated models to have moved through the distribution chain

You might want to check with your AD...it may not be rhodium plated. Early ones were; later ones are reportedly not rhodium plated anymore. The regular 5127 is a very nice, vintage-looking piece and the perfect size for a dressier piece. I think it would ...

I checked with 3 different ADs and they all confirmed that they are rodhium plated. Could they all be old stock?
