This was discussed in various fora, including here. Do a search for more info. My thought is that they are probably older stock. If you want the unplated version, I'd check with your AD and ask if it's available...sometimes the ADs themselves don't have correct info.

You might want to check with your AD...it may not be rhodium plated. Early ones were; later ones are reportedly not rhodium plated anymore. The regular 5127 is a very nice, vintage-looking piece and the perfect size for a dressier piece. I think it would ...
where did you hear that?
I checked with 3 different ADs and they all confirmed that they are rodhium plated. Could they all be old stock?
How do we know if the watch is plated.....
