5196G vs 5196P

I just checked the Patek website and was stunned at the difference between the 2 models of essentially the same watch.
1) How common is it to have such a dramatic difference between G & P? Any other examples you can think of?
2) Why the solid case back? Does it come with both? For a mechaical watch I think a display back should be standard.

Patek 5196P vs 5565A
I like the dials of both watches: 2 tones with numerals. I think these 2 are most beautiful contemporary calatravas. Personally, I like the dial of 5196P more, what is your view? Any comment is welcome. Addi

5565 A is definitely the winner to me :-) If you are talking about the case, still 5565A. It is one of the most beautiful Calatrava, imho ;-) *CL

I understand your viewpoint. However, for a SS 565 with special dial and mint case, it can reach HK$ 1M...remeber the aucttion in "C" Auction House one year ago? Anyway, I still choose 570PT rather than 565SS. IMHO, Addi
