Well, the second series have leaf hands, and indexes are rectangular.
On Third series, hands are rectangular but with arrow ending. Indexes just are as the hands : arrow ending. (Sorry don’t know the exact technical name...)

No it is a “regular” 3970p 2nd series
But every 3970 is special ! The only special reason of this 3970 is that I have a second dial + second set of hands, of a 3rd series. The previous owner pimped it !!!!!!! OMG !!!! I made it back to genuine combination of course.
