For a watch of that age it looks in very good condition from your picture.
The strap color is quite a personal matter but I was thinking for the future looking at light brown tones.
My other choices are light, middle or dark grey but maybe it wouldn't be the best choices for a vintage.
So a kind of brown or caramel, coffe color but maybe you can also play with the material (no croc thus no-scales pattern for instance or mate finish etc...).

I agree with you...I would go matt dark brown alligator. I would want a little contrast between the gold and the strap. This is the first of this reference that I have ever seen. 33mm diameter, correct?
I think it is 33.5...
But it wears quite big... maybe 35-36. I find it’s all about the bezel, and this bezel is very thin.

What does “ double signed “ mean? I have never heard that expression. Thank you.
Double signed
Means anything that has a jewelers name on the face as well as Patek. Back in the day, it was often more prestigious to have a jewelers name on it than Patek. Today, only Tiffany can double sign watches.
