Welcome to our forum! Unless this issue depends on the angle you took the pictures from, I would definitely hand it over to Patek, especially if it's not been serviced for a while. I'm sure it will come back like new ;-) Cheers.

Hand Alignment on Date Subdial - 3940/3941

 By: btinl : November 15th, 2020-18:39
On my 3941, I noticed that the hand on the date subdial was well-centered on the dial marker at the end of the month, but that the alignment has gradually deviated over the past two weeks. I used the pusher to adjust the date to test the alignment through...

I don't have experience with this, but it would drive me crazy...

...I'm also guessing it's a simple adjustment, although it might take a while... Beautiful watch btw : )

Thanks for the insight.

I purchased this pre-owned so will check back with the AD about getting it fixed.

+ 1 I concur with Patek_Ambassador

A normal full service will fix the problem. After all high horology is still precision mechanics...

You must be right

One way or another btinl must bring it to PP for service and see the diagnosis (and quotation for fixing the issue)

Thanks for the input.

I cross my fingers for you that ithe issue will be smoothly handled by PP🤞🤞. Keep us posted of outcome

I have a 3940 and 3941 and do not experience this problem with either.

Note though you will want to reset the leap Year indicator, to "4" as 2020 is the Leap Year.

You are correct. That leap year indicator is correct.

It doesn’t matter if you send it in, they will send it back to you set at the current date.

You're right
