I don't think that the matter is complicated.
My watches are insured on an "all risks" basis, provided that they are kept in an approved safe at my home, when not being worn.
Since they would not be left lying around, in any event, that condition seems a reasonable one.
I insure through Norwich Union. They have a policy called "Tapestry", that is really very comprehensive.
Winter sports, overseas travel and much else; quite apart from the normal domestic risks.
