Patek Philippe

thin Calatrava ...

First, congratulations to your wonderfull Patek. It´s an automatic thin watch - they are quite rare and the other comments don´t really mirror the truth. The movement is a joint production of AP&JLC and PP used this one before they had the cal240 from 1982 on as far as I know. The movement is a super-flat masterpiece and I especially love the fact, that the hectic small/large second is missing - just a straight 2-hands - for times without rush, just to enjoy time passing ... I recently bought the same in WG with a light silver gray dial - just amazing ... There is also a later version, which is slightly bigger and houses the cal240 - also one of my pieces and they make a perfect pair. Most simple calatravas are hand wound and the automatics are good to collect - they are the perfect deal with prices from 6-9"eur. Enjoy yours and keep it ! Cordially from Munich RobHall
