That's an excellent remark, Justin. It is quite impressive especially for Omega, given the huge volume of their production. I was just surprised about ALS, since it's a *very* different company after the Nineties...
So I looked it up on their site and indeed, and at least officially, they only guarantee servicing of the new timepieces:
"All Lange watch models built since the company was re-established in 1990 are serviced and repaired by us."
In any case, this is an important and commendable form of service that these brands offer --- when we buy a good watch we also buy a piece of history, thus promising its serviceability into the future is the proper commitment that, in my view, any brand should make

At long last, I got another heavy weight! Due to the pandemic, I only received it recently. I like the rose gold case as it matches my skin tone and love the heft of this chronograph. The chocolate dial matches the rose metal very well and the whole watch...

I think the 5980 is one of the best design abbreviations over the Nautilus theme. It seems they got everything right with this model. It works very well in rose gold. I understand what you say about skin tone. It is how it is. For me, the better choice is...
