Patek Philippe

Thank you!

You gentlemen are great. No, that is not my watch, but I'm very close to a done deal on a 1463; I am just finalizing deciding between a few models - the 130's didnt help; they surprised me how beautiful they are and such terrific wrist presence for only 33mm. I've been researching this specific point and it's harder to get an answer to than one might think. I even tried looking at videos of auction house early viewings/reviews and they never mention a thing about materials regarding hands and stems. I have seen models with all blue steeled hands and stems, but it's mostly a combination of metals and colors. If i had to guess, I would say PP used both steel and white gold. It doesn't help that PP was far more receptive to client requests in this era, so it might vary even more than we might assume.
Now, the better question if it's steel would be if it's their staybrite composite or other type of steel ... just the rabbit hole one goes through when dealing with vintage PPs as I am learning.
Be well.
