Just a quick question. Does the second hand on the 5270G run continuously as it does on the 5970?

I am no expert, but what do you mean by continuous. These are mechanical watches so they do not jump second by second.....

On my 5970 the dial that has the 24 hr indicator and the 60 second counter(the dial left of center) runs continuously, I am not talking about the chrono function. Just wondering if the 60 second counter runs continuously on the 5270.

While with the 5970 it does 5. So with the 5270, it seems to move with more fluidity even if with a pure mechanical watch, a second hand never moves "continuously", it does x steps per second, it depends from the caliber frequency. Fx

Does every watch with the same frequency have the same “steps per second”? If so that would be an interesting chart showing frequency=steps per second. Thanks.

18000=2,5 hz=5 steps 21600=3 hz=6 steps 28800=4hz=8 steps 36000=5hz=10 steps. Fx

I take that as an improvement that the 5270 beats at 28,000 and the 5970 only at 18,000. Am I correct?

I think he means does the second hand "hack" or stop when the stem is pulled out.

That is question, what is the answer, hacking or not.
