If we have a look back at Patek's history we can observe how many great watches the brand has given to watchmaking, especially the different complicated references they made.
There weren't many Perpetual Calendars, Chrono-PC, Split-second etc... at the time.
I wish they will get this inspiration your talking about, while being careful with how they do it of course.
Some brands make very close copies. Getting inspiration is quite a much more difficult exercize. For instance they could secure the evolution of their DNA in the 5127/5107/5110's case while creating in the mean time a new design.

Leap year indicators

Not on the case back since it is a solid one. It seems there is not leap year indicator.
It seems that the only way to set it is manually, through the pushers.
Yes, it was the only way I see it: maybe you have to set on February
then check when if it goes to 29 or 28 and then you know where it is for this year. After that, you're able to follow from a year to the next one where you are. Happy they added the indicator since... Cheers, Mark
But there is the thing: always be sure that you push when it is allowed... ;)
But with hand wound, I guess you become a pro in relatively short time. ^^

I thought I read the first PC owners could set was the 3940. These had to be set by the factory. No leap year indicator and no pushers. Back then people had only one watch I guess so it was not a problem.

I would with pleasure wear this - even it's made of yellow gold. One nice thing with Patek is that their history is so rich and there's always something which can be used to inspire new models. I like this approach because it's just strengthening the DNA ...

Besides the calender windows
There is the sub-dial with two hands - one for small seconds and one for date. So I see four hands, right? And after with all that complications I'd agree that it's not the classical 3-hander. Cheers Mark and thanks a lot.
