So I saw the new 5396r tonight.............
Its is a gorgeous watch! My father-in-law was wearing it tonight at dinner so I had a good chance to try it on and look at it a bit even though the room was a little dark. I have to say that it may be the nicest looking watch Patek currently makes. We both agreed that its his nicest looking Patek (He is an owner of a 5970p and j plus a 5960p as well) The dial on the new 5396 is so much cleaner than the previous sector dial version. The moon is a perfect match against the rose gold case. I always wanted a 5146g but now my next Patek has to be the new 5396. I would highly recommend this watch in rose gold! Any pictures from current owners here would be appreciated!

Honestly, I really like the sector dial version. It's more unique and combined with the blued leaf hands, it's truly a great looking watch that isn't overly stoic or classic. The new 5396 dial is definitely something that will be more palatable for a grea...

I used to own a 5296g and preferred it over the non-sector 5296 but I do think the sector dial works best in white gold rather than rose gold and without the annual calendar complication fit into the dial. To me the cleaner look of the new 5396 is my pref...

Looking at them both now side by side it would be very hard to choose. Seeing it in rose gold last night I thought that the rose gold metal color would definitely be my choice but in your pictures I think I like 5396 in white gold a little better. Go figu...

He does have a 5205 coming in the first quarter of this year. I'm not sure which dial version its going to be yet, which dial did you prefer? I think I liked the slate a little better. Tony

I got to try on the 5396G sector last week, it is quite impressive!!! I think the 5296G will be my first PP!
