Same dilemma, different questions
i am in the same situation as you, meaning that i am about to trigger on one of those 2. And i have a big wrist so my choice is limited.
Except that the question i ask myself are slightly different. Mine is much more simple and complicated in the same time. Which one do i like more? I love both. Which i will keep loving or my love will grow? Hard to answer.
I already have the 5070R, and many other things push me to go towards 5960P.... But god knows why, i still favor the 5070G

I think the right questions should be...
Shall I prefer an automatic or a HW caliber ? Shall I prefer the chronograph only or a more complicated watch ? Etc... These are the right questions. Forget the status stories and so on, that's not important, believe me and your choice will become easier....
