After returning from an excellent holiday on the Portuguese south coast where I wore my under the radar Rolex Explorer I, I was longing for a more dressy watch. And here it is, my white gold Patek Philippe Calatrava with sector dial. For me the quintessen...

The strange thing is that when I see the Explorer in advertisements, pictures or on other people’s wrists I truly love the look, but when it is on my wrist it looks blend...That is why I have bought the Explorer a couple of times before, sold it and then ...

It's a very simple, unfussy watch, and I love the sector dial. It gives the watch some visual "oomph" in my opinion, vs some of the plainer calatrava dials. The blued hands are an additional bonus! ...
