i would not be sure if the 5227P is coming
1) My feeling is that the 5227 does not sell as good as Patek thought it would sell (just my perception, i dont have any informations - yet they changed the 5227G very quickly what should be unusual) so its not likely to make an even more expensive option as with the 5196P in a different market situation back then.
2) PP generally tries to sell more complicated pieces, so most of the new models are more expensive than a possible 5227P. In the last years, PP only offered a few new simple pieces. This could mean they are not making a 5227P.
3) PP tries to create more casual-style watches that are less formal. Thats the way they are going (see: Pilots watch, new SS calatrava). Is it likely that they create a less formal calatrava in P when the less expensive J and G and R Versions are very formal? I think not because it would not fit into the current collection of the 5227!

A quick question for all the Patek collectors: How likely is it, that we'll see a 5227P in the Future? Is there any hint on when it would be released, If there will be one?
Especially since this reference is one of very few left in the men's Calatrava catalog, I wouldn't be surprised if they'll soon close the cycle with a P, as they often do.
Just a guess, of course, with no guarantees;-)

a long missing one is an updated manually wound movement for the 5196 family...
5196P might with new movement have a better chance than an 5227 update to P...of course speculation it is ! Best, Mahesh.,
