Patek Philippe ref 2552.
Thankyou for your observations re numbers manufactured, the black marks on the back of the case are shadows, it is really difficult to photograph shiny metal unless you are a professinal, here is anothe attempt...!

Can anyone tell me how to find out how many examples of this Patek Philippe ref 2552 platinum wristwatch with factory diamond index dial were manufactured? I understand from my late father whose watch it was that it is one of only five examples worldwide....

Firstly i must say, this is a very nice patek. i always liked model 2552, and being Wg or Pt just makes it even better. As ref 2552 uses the same movement as ref 2526, around the same time period, late 50's i am thinking ( purely ) in my own opinion, coul...
Regarding the number of watches .....
which have been up for sale during the past years, I would figure much less production of 2552 compared to 2526. On "that auction site" you will find 14 pieces 2552 compared to 104 pieces 2526.
