Patek Philippe

Patek ADs

would normally follow the recommended retail price (RRP) strictly irrespective on how desirable a watch may be. They will risk losing their right to supply Pateks should they not follow the RRP. Saying that, about 10 years ago I came across a Patek AD in Malaysia which charged a premium for the Nautilus 5800. This same dealer is now charging a 50% mark up on the new steel Rolex Daytona. Most annoyingly all the Rolex dealers in Malaysia including the Rolex boutique are charging a 50% premium on the steel Daytona and I am most surprised that Rolex has not stopped this from happening as it has been going for almost a year now. Yes the watch market has suffered in the last two years but this is not an excuse for ADs to abuse the RRP.
