stand out as Patek Philippe's grandest new reference from the first decade of the second millienium. Those of you whom were fortunate enough to acquire the 5970 I salute you, because you are wearing history on you wrist.

and indeed, fully agree that this reference stands to be one of the better modern watches PP has done. An instant classic that will still look good and begs to look better with the passage of time. Congrats indeed to the lucky owners of such.

I would agree the 5970 is indeed a very handsome watch that stands on it's own merits, but does not need to be compared to the 3970. From my own point of view I would be happy with either one of them. The diameter to thickness ratio on the 5970 was imo of...

ASAIK, many Asian collectors still prefer 3970...which looks very clear; elegant and the 36mm size is optimal for many Asians..and indeed 3970 is the continuation of the 4th Generation 2499! I would say, different people will choose according to their pre... 

what IF it was the other way around ?? That patek introduced 5970 as 3970 first, and what we are currently looking at, is 3970 only in a reference number 5970 ?? What then ? Would we all praise the workmanship and its design, of the round pushers, the dag...

Both pieces are worthy of the glory, that is placed upon them. I am still getting over the piece in the interview.............Where Theiry mentions that some collectors have an estimated 500 Pateks in their collections!!!!!!!!!!!! Now that I would love to...
