Originally, I wanted a 3800J with a blue dial (black calendar disc), but I couldn't find one in good condition. At that time, I found a beautiful ceramic dial and a blue dial (from the same era) for sale, so I bought them and replaced them.
I got a Nautilus 3800/1J, so I paired it with an Aquanaut 5065/1J. When I line them up like this, I can see how compact the 3800 is.

5065J for me. Its quirky elements elevate it to the sublime. The bracelet included.
