Anyone know why this type of hour markers are called as "DAUPHINE"?? Does this come from French based something??...  

a convincing answer to your question pertaining to the hands of the watch you have pictured. The simple answer is, the hands on the watch shown in the picture are NOT Dauphine hands. Cheers. Francois

Francois, Yes I'm not talking about hands but the design of this particular numeral. "dauphine hour markers" are sometimes mentioned on the archives especially for old pocket watches with similar nurmerals. I'm just wondering why this type or numerals are... 

On a visit to the factory a few months ago, I took the watch and it was confirmed that the hour markers, in this period, were described as Dauphine hour markers. ...

First, beautiful watch! What is the reference, please? Second, I think you're asking about the hands, not the markers? Those are spade-style hands. Dauphine you would find on a Reference 96 or 2526 or current 5196, etc.
