5712 vs 3712 the differences - part 2 - "the watch case"

There are substantial differences, first of all the 3712 has a two parts case (like ref. 3700) and 5712 has a three parts case. Ref. 5712 case diameter is 43 mm and ref. 3712 is 42 mm, and the thickness is respectively 8,52 mm and 8,37 mm. The ears in the 5712 are rounded and in the 3712 are more squared, and even the crown in the 5712 is bigger (but we will talk about the crowns in a later post as well as for the caseback). Water resistance is 60 meters for both refs.  All of this will be inserted in the new version of the "A study of the Patek Philippe ref. 3700 Nautilus"
