Some watches I "hunt" for years. Just sometimes it happens that a bigger load is coming in short time and then it might be very quiet for a longer time. I will, most probably, open the watch next time I'm in Patek Salon and those nice guys have ordered me...

From 5550P + 5450P there could be a temptation to continue on the same road: + 5350R + 5250G. But that would already be a very bad (and too expensive) idea. In reality 5550P has it all but the nappy filling colour of an AC forced me to go for 5450P. Plus ... 

Can be interesting to follow the whole lineage of this very special line-up, even if the first models are all ACs. Enjoy yours , they are the 2 first ones I would have picked as well. Cheers, Mark

the watch starts to look good. There's only one small problem: it seems to be nearly impossible to take a photo which would give a good idea of the charm of the dial. Next step is to place the bespoke strap and I will try several alternatives. Best, Kari ...

I have never kept a watch "sealed" over the night but always open it on the same day I receive it. Still it's nice to get older watches in their original packing and unopened. Normally I take such watches to a watchmaker of the brand and ask him to study ...

It's funny but very often I like the limited editions more than the regular ones: 5450P, 5550P, 5100P, 5975P... It's not the relative rarity which is "speaking" to me but the watches. Best, Kari

I think the salmon is similar to my 3940, and it\'s a cow to photograph! Beautiful watches, though - congratulations and enjoy. However bad your day has been, just think of the England football manager...

Now life is smiling. Brexit in football! Your great 3940 London Edition has a very similar dial colour than 5450P. Really difficult to capture to the "film". Best, Kari

it is the same with all limited editions if the production numbers are low. Let's think about 5070P. There are so many people who could not get one. On the other hand, rarity is probably one factor making limited edition watches so wanted. I wanted to get... 

but it can really get out of hand when a brand makes most of its piece a 'limited edition'. Of course, if the demand is greater than the supply it plays on the psyche of the buyer to acquire something that he/she will have the satisfaction and the experie... 

luckily till now Patek had only a limited number of limited editions. I have refused many because the watches did not impress me. At the same time references like 5100P, 5975P and 5550P really "speak to me". I just bought 5450P. This watch was on the edge...
