Not at all... You have no reason to think like that. You're not affected by marketing more than average.
It's just that the slogan wording really applies to anything we buy that's mechanical and of quality. And we are all susceptible to marketing. There are some of us who flat out deny this, they deny that they cannot be swayed by marketing, and they're wron...

I can say none of my watches are not worn…
For every new or new to me watch, I will test the accuracy and functions to make sure they are in good conditions. The 5960 has been around since 2006, about time to retire…I think this is a good way of creating treasures for us to pass on.
We are similar in that we try to wear all our watches Raymond although I find myself having difficulties wearing all of them due to travel restrictions due to having them in different locations and sheer volume...
Also, since I do not have kids, there is NO next generation so these beauties will either be given to other family members, sold off, or buried with me "greedy PHAROAH style." 🤣🤣

Agree 200%. I give/gave my kids unwavering support and an education. At that point they are on their own. If I am fortunate I will leave something for grandchildren. But I still love the PP slogan, and enjoy my watches while anticipating passing some on.
Totally…enjoy while we can…let the next generation grow and learn.
Too much knowledge passing on might actually limit them into a box. Leave imagination open. Cheers 🍻
