Marco, this will be very interesting.
I have both and often I have checked the differences. Naturally, 3712 is something special. I wear both but for obvious reasons 5712 more. Both are great watches.

All Nautilus till 3712 had a two part case. But the demand of 3712 was huge and to answer that demand Patek needed to think different ways: their solution was to make the production of the watch a little bit easier and cheaper. Best, Kari
