I have letter from Patek Philippe dated 1985 to owner from Lybia and next letter from Patek Philippe to owner in Germany dated 1989. Watch was made 1851 and sold 1852. Its Kosciuszko on horse. Kosciuszko was polish and american hero. Builder of West Point Academy.

Almost 160 years old and looks fabulous. Just looking
at the photographs makes me start thinking of that time period, no planes, no cars, no electricity. And the folks who actually made it when both Patek and Philippe were involved.

How did you determine the man on the back was Tadeus Kosciuszko? I can't read the engraving under "Patek Philippe" to know if it says his name or not A
