Previously I did not have one. Since the 40th anniversary, the attention/hype placed the Nautilus has alerted and ignited my liking and appreciation of this watch.
Your photo looks superb and the bright blue dial is simply lovely.

Sadly this piece hasn't seen daylight this year. It used to be an enjoyable Q-watch. Cast your mind back to when non-WIS weren't aware of the P, and when no one outside watch circles cared about Nautilus. When Patek was discretion and valour... Is there a...

They keep mechanical watchmaking alive and make people aspire to have a mechanical watch in the age when it is not needed and Apple Watch has 1000x more functionalities for a fraction of price. I don’t have problem with them - the ‘hot piece fatigue’ only...

...I like any PP the same as before, but I would prefer the Nautilus not being so hyped. I had 5712 in 2007 already, when Rolex-nerds asked me, when I‘ll buy a decent watch. Now they ask me, how I got it, what I payed etc. I liked it more to be under the ...
Excellent points all, thank you.

Fashions and feelings are ultimately ephemeral. p.boxster: I got a kick out of your reply, very similar experiences 😂

Honestly as a “new customer” i find it a little frustrating to not be able to get certain watches because of the hype, but it didn’t change my view on PP, and it shouldn’t change anyone’s desire to put one on their wrist. It’s a market issue, the brand ha...
Thank you...

If I have ruffled any feathers, I do humbly and sincerely apologise. That is the last thing I intend to do. I will keep these musings to myself going forward. The watch remains intrinsically and fundamentally the same. The things I like about it remain un...

You didn’t, my friend! It’s always amazing to see more seasoned collectors into their journeys, and your thoughts and experience are very much appreciated. If I said anything that made it look like you’ve said anything other than what you actually did, I ...

I remember you had your picture taken with her as well from the NY Grand Exhibition? That is truly amazing to own the watch and then have the creator of the watch in the same picture. I’m sure it will be cherished for years or even decades to come!
Ahhh....yes!
