I would say the choice here is mainly between very classic and elegant (the 5227) vs. more original (but still classic and elegant enough, the 6006)...

The hinged caseback can be a nice addition, but the 6006 has in my opinion one of the most attractive Calatrava dials of the standard catalog.
Up until 8 months ago I would have probably suggested you the 6006, but now it's in a sense been "surpassed" by the weekly calendar 5212 in that broad category, hence I'm more neutral between the two...What do you think of the 5212?

For me the black dial 5227G would be a little too similar to the 5107P (black dial, white metal, similar movement and size). I also prefer the 5107P over the 5227G by a mile. This leaves the 6006G and while I like its 240 movement and small second I am no...
