I already have an old mechanical watch to practice on first........

The watch has been serviced by a PP AD in Los Angeles from whom I bought it.

I however live in Sydney.......and I don't want to take it to the AD here as it may take several attempts at adjustment before it is right?

I have just posted it on WatchTech....thanks for the advice

I wouldn't recomend any DIY attempt....

Hi, it's a very nice and precious watch - I wouldn't recomend to try it yourself! A simple slip an ruin the hairspring for example (many other channces to ruin something else ...) and he outcome would be very expensive :-(( If you don't want to "invest " ...

Very nice movement, by the way. I try to do it by myself by moveing the " raquette ". Here, a tad towards " F ". Just a tad. Then, monitor the first 12 hours, to see if it is enough, or if your hand was " too heavy ", then correct. Best, Nicolas
