On your first document, I see Ref 50892, Nuremberg, Germany, 1548... I thought the brand was born much later! Do you have some informations on that? [nt]

I don't think it is from 1548. Oh, it is a pendant watch. Case made of engraved gilded brass, signed "1548 CW" inside the rear case cover. 54mm [nt]

If I understand your question my friend, keep in mind that a good part of the museum collection (basically an entire floor) is dedicated to watches that pre-date Patek...

Philippe Stern’s goal has been to gather some of the most significant watches ever made, Patek of course “only” came along in 1839😀
