I share JC's dream of seeing no discontinuation of recently launched hot sellers discussed here. And for the less selling references discontinuation it doesn't seem to interest enough to be the subject of a post. So until a discontinuation is official we may not discuss such thing anymore!
Discussing about a rumor like that is a nice way for grey market sellers to create interest. Please don't forget that selling Patek Philippe watches is a business, if not for us it is for many! Harrison's point is a very interesting counterpoint. If the secondary market price of a 5960 is high because grey market dealers overstock the model, too bad for them but when you play to make money you must be prepared to loose some too. You will get no tears from me.
On the same path I don't appreciate to see the obvious fakes appear as the best last find off the barn.
Like Marc I'd prefer to see owner's pics and impressions of their beloved 5960 which is a gorgeous watch IMO.
And for those (like me) who don't own a 5960 or other hot pieces, we can just come and say "hello" and ask questions about what we like here, watches!
There is so much to share.
