Regardless of the value now, that could possibly change as time passes.
The 3710 is a member of the large case watches which many consider more desirable, whereas the 3998 is probably considered small. Currently,this popularity difference affects the value of each even though the 3998P was more than twice as expensive when they were both available.
Personally, I prefer the smaller case watches and the 3998P is very appealing and I would seriously consider the trade ... only after careful consideration.
