very soon with all the details.
Having had the lucky chance to be the first journalist to see the collection wednesday morning at 10:00, I can tell you there are a lot of very nice pieces presented, with a large variety for all. A few highlights:
The jeweled Calatrava's 5108 (1.21 carats), the 5118 in platinum (2.78 carats) and 5112 (1.31 carats) are the first men's watches with diamonds that I thought were very attractive. The jewels accentuate the form without dominating it.
The limited 5250 Annual Calendar with the silicium escapement is wonderful. I especailly loved the 'blackened' indexes and numbers, and I am sure this is already well sold out worldwide with all the dealers wanting one. On the bacck there is a small lens integrated in the sapphire glass in order to see the escapement better.
The new Nautilus with moonphase and power reserve and 240 caliber (CHF 21,700) has a virtually identical layout to the 5055, which was already one of my favorites; but now as a sports model in a Nautilus context. Love it!
The 6000 (CHF 18,000) and 5296, (CHF 18,200) both in WG, reflect the celebration of classics, with a real retro, yet fresh appearance.
New Gondolos, large formaat are also winners, and preice between CHF 17,800 anf 28,500. The bi-color platinum and rose gold version is the nicest in my opnion.
Lots to like here. Look forward to in depth reports from our guys in the field.
Regards,
Theodore
