I like it a lot, but if I were looking for an AC now, between my (or any) 5396 and the 5960, I'd most likely go for the latter, probably /1A and black dial...or certainly the Leicester edition! ;-) Cheers. [nt]

This 5396G is beautiful, elegant, subtle and versatile, a great all rounder in my opinion
The 5227G's case is extremely sexy, and the full black look with white lettering is quite appealing.

Actually, at some point I would like to add a black dial watch with white date indication over black background. I don't love when the date window is white, for instance, like on the current Grand Lange 1 WG.
Tempted by too many pieces in fact.
But if I have to go for a Calatrava, I’d go for the 5196p.

Two beauties and most classic pieces! The Calatrava is just flawless but I also like the new(er) 5396 with Breguet numerals...
Interestingly though, here's my older version (in R gold), bought in 2011 and still in the catalog to this day....while the 5396 (R and G) Breguet have had a much shorter run and are already discontinued! ;-) So if now you are interested in it....it might...
The 5396 has been always high on my wish list when looking for an annual calendar
But it was surpassed first by the 5726, and then by the 5960. The 5205 was a strong contender as well. Unfortunately, I cannot have them all 😅 Your R will always look great, enjoy it!

This could be one of the greatest watches ever...
...but PP really couldn't decide what to do with the subdial, and the date cutout is awkward. I've wanted an AC forever, but can't pull the trigger on this one...
I don't normally focus on that and it doesn't really bothers me tbh

I love both #5227 & #5396 but I don't think the very(black and gray dial ) model have good visibility
The black one could be better in that sense, but I didn't feel any visibility issues tbh
And I did feel it in the past with the 5205G anthracite dial, which I adore.
