I feel the same way as PPL
If I were to buy a watch and there were 2 variants of the watch, one w/ secs hand & one w/o secs hand, I would definitely opt for the one with secs hands. I like seeing movement on the dial and gives the watch more "life" IMO.

Actually I had never thought that second hand (especially center one) can be so important in making watch LIVE, until I bought a piece with small second hand placed over (on) moon-phase indicator. There were many times when the watch looked like it stoped...
