Next time around I will have it serviced by Patek. When I bought the watch I was uncertain that it was original and didn't want to go to the expense of sending to Patek only to have them laugh at me and send it back if it wasn't the real deal.
The photos don't do it justice. I couldn't figure out how to turn off the automatic flash so the pictures make it look more scratched/grainy than it is. Before I give it to my son I will have Patek refinish it again. Until then I will enjoy.
As for the pictures of your sister's watch, her watch is stunning. Pateks in the family. Does anyone not have one? ;-).
By the way, did you ever find out the definative model number for your mother's watch. I saw a while ago you were looking for this information.
